Rich Mocha Tones: Autumn & Brandon at Kent Island Resort

Rich mocha tones, waterfront views, and an espresso martini tower gave Autumn and Brandon’s Kent Island Resort wedding a fresh take on a neutral color palette.

Neutral doesn’t have to mean understated.

Autumn and Brandon built their wedding around rich mocha, warm brown, ivory, and soft floral patterns. Against Kent Island Resort’s white architecture and waterfront setting, the richer tones felt crisp and sophisticated.

A Modern Bridal Look

Autumn looked stunning in a structured satin ball gown with a clean neckline, full skirt, and cathedral-length veil. Her bridesmaids wore floor-length gowns in deep mocha, each choosing a silhouette that reflected their own style.

A Waterfront First Look

“I was feeling a little overwhelmed the morning of and experiencing so many emotions, but the moment I walked up to see Brandon, everything instantly felt calm,” Autumn shared. “I was just so happy to see him and felt incredibly lucky knowing I was about to marry him.”

Autumn and Brandon chose a garden pathway overlooking the waterfront for their first look. Waiting there was another surprise for the groom. Their puppy joined them wearing a tuxedo collar and bow tie, making one of the day’s most personal moments even more memorable.

A Quiet Outdoor Ceremony

Family and friends gathered outdoors as Autumn and Brandon exchanged vows beneath a white floral arbor overlooking an open field. The ceremony embraced the quiet beauty of Kent Island Resort’s expansive grounds.

Brown, Ivory, and Soft Floral Prints

Inside the Farmstead, the reception mixed deep brown linens with soft floral-patterned tablecloths, creating contrast from one table to the next. White dinnerware, taper candles, and low arrangements of peach, blush, and cream florals completed the layered tablescapes.

A dramatic draped fabric wall transformed one end of the reception space. Gathered folds of fabric caught the glow of candlelight, adding softness and texture to the Farmstead’s interior.

Espresso Martinis Instead of Champagne

Rather than a traditional champagne tower, Autumn and Brandon celebrated with stacked coupe glasses filled with espresso martinis.

Autumn changed into a sequined reception dress before pouring the cocktails from a silver shaker, giving guests a modern twist on one of wedding tradition’s most recognizable moments.

Trusting the Process

“Some of the extra details we initially hesitated on ended up being completely worth it,” Autumn said. “They made the day feel seamless and elevated the entire experience, making our wedding even more special and memorable.”

“Above all, we learned to trust the process and focus on what truly mattered: celebrating with the people we love most.”
