Industrial wedding venues are still rare in our region, which is exactly why The Packing House stands out. Exposed brick, oversized factory windows, and original timber gave Mallory and Shea’s Cambridge, Maryland celebration a character unlike anything else we regularly feature across Delaware and Maryland’s Eastern Shore.
Before they officially met, Mallory joked to friends that the washboard player in a local band was her boyfriend. She even asked him for a mixtape of the band’s music, despite already having it. Ten years later, they were married.

Industrial Character Meets Romantic Design
Garden-inspired arrangements in shades of peach, lavender, blue, and blush stood out against century-old brick and exposed beams. Vintage colored glassware, candlelight, and patterned linens introduced another layer of texture to the reception.
Mallory’s romantic gown featured billowing off-the-shoulder sleeves, a structured corset bodice, and a flowing skirt. Her bridesmaids wore an intentionally mixed palette of blue, sage green, lavender, and terracotta in a variety of silhouettes.

Portraits with Character
One of our favorite parts of this gallery is the portrait session.
A classic bridal gown against exposed brick. Delicate florals framed by steel windows and worn wood. The contrast between polished wedding styling and the building’s industrial history gives these portraits an editorial quality that feels refreshingly different for our region.

Remembering the People Who Couldn’t Be There
Some of the most meaningful moments quietly honored family members who helped shape the couple’s story.
A reserved chair at the ceremony recognized Shea’s late mother. As each bridesmaid walked down the aisle, she placed a flower on the chair in her memory. Mallory carried a photograph of her late grandmother attached to her bouquet.
The Most Important Detail
For all of the thoughtful design choices, one lesson stayed with Mallory.
“To remember the most important detail of the day isn’t the color of the napkins on the table, it’s that you get to publicly commit to spending forever with your best friend. The napkins will look just fine.”
