From Sunlight to Candlelight: Marissa & Brandon’s Maryland Wedding
Garden-inspired florals, a sailcloth tent by the bay, and a gorgeous coastal summer evening.
Set just outside Ocean City in Bishopsville, Marissa and Brandon’s Maryland wedding overlooked the bay. A sailcloth tent nestled into the open lawn while marsh views stretched toward the water beyond.

A Coastal Garden Party
Veronica Blooms brought the garden to the coast with buttery yellow roses, peach ranunculus, pink dahlias, cosmos, chamomile, and soft blue blooms. Greenery climbed the tent poles while woven lanterns hung above the tables alongside candlelight and abundant arrangements.
Garden touches appeared everywhere, from the floral centerpieces to the bridesmaids’ mix of floral and solid soft blue gowns. Marissa wore an embroidered bodice paired with a full satin skirt and wide straps. Her bouquet gathered many of the same flowers featured throughout the reception.

A Sailcloth Tent by the Bay
Few reception settings are better suited to the Eastern Shore than a sailcloth tent.
The open sides kept the marsh and bay in view throughout dinner while the canopy filtered the changing evening light. Wooden cross-back chairs, long farmhouse tables, woven lanterns, candlelight, and lush floral arrangements filled the space.

Personal Details That Matter
It’s the small details that matter most to the couple that elevate the celebration.
For Marissa and Brandon, one of those was including their beloved golden retriever. Dressed in his own tuxedo, he spent time with the bridal party, joined portraits, and walked back down the aisle with the newlyweds after the ceremony.
Marissa also carried a family heirloom with her. Unable to attend the wedding, her grandmother’s wedding pearls were repurposed into the earrings she wore on her wedding day.

Coastal Portraits
Open fairways, marsh grasses, waterfront views, and late summer light provided a beautiful backdrop for portraits.
Marissa and Brandon wandered through the landscape as the sun began to drop, with the breeze catching her veil along the shoreline and the bay appearing in the distance.

As Day Turned to Night
Outdoor tented weddings have a rhythm all their own.
Sunlight gave way to candlelight as the band kept guests on the dance floor. Later in the evening came a favorite surprise: late-night McDonald’s. The celebration ended beneath a tunnel of sparklers as family and friends sent Marissa and Brandon into the night.
For Marissa, the highlight wasn’t one particular detail.
It was having everyone together.
“Having all of our family and friends in one place. It truly was the most perfect day. The weather, the vibes, everything turned out beyond perfect.”
