Caroline & Eric’s Romantic Fall Wedding

Orchard portraits, emerald details, and a handwritten note to remember

Of all the moments Caroline remembers from her wedding day, it wasn’t the ceremony or the reception.

It was a handwritten note from Eric waiting for her while she got ready.

A quiet moment before the celebration began.

Their fall wedding in Middletown paired deep green details with orchard portraits and a few memorable surprises along the way.

Caroline wore a fitted lace gown with floral appliqué and a long veil that photographed beautifully among the orchard rows. Eric wore a light gray suit accented by a patterned green tie and coordinating pocket square, while the bridesmaids wore deep emerald gowns.

Some of our favorite images happened in the orchard. Caroline’s veil trailing behind her through the rows of trees. The two of them walking hand in hand between the branches. Quiet moments beautifully captured by Jana Bannan Photography.

Planning a wedding still came with its own challenges.

“It’s time consuming, stressful and wonderful all at the same time,” Caroline shared.

Coming from a family with deep roots in Wilmington’s restaurant community, food and service mattered. Jamestown Catering was one of Caroline’s favorite vendors, helping bring her vision to life through thoughtful communication, planning, and service.

In the evening, guests gathered around Blue Hen Torcedor as cigars were rolled and finished on site. One of those details people naturally gravitate toward. A conversation starter. An experience. And one of the most memorable moments of the reception.

From the orchard portraits to the cigar bar, the day reflected the things Caroline and Eric valued most: great food, meaningful moments, and time spent celebrating with family and friends.
