How The Couple Met
Emily and Jack’s story began in the summer of 2017 during a work internship, where a fast friendship quickly formed. After graduating college, they both returned to full-time roles at the same company and naturally grew even closer. Years of laughter, shared lunches, and late-night conversations eventually led to Jack mustering the courage to ask Emily out—and from that moment on, their love story officially began.
The Wedding Day
Venue: Bohemia Overlook
Nestled along the waterfront, Emily and Jack celebrated their special day at Bohemia Overlook’s charming barn venue. This 100-year-old horse barn—full of historic character and modern rustic flair—offered an intimate and inviting setting that perfectly suited their romantic ceremony.
Strings: Wilmington String Ensemble
Adding a touch of elegance to the day, Wilmington String Ensemble performed live during the ceremony. Their beautiful string arrangements created a romantic atmosphere and made the moment Emily and Jack exchanged vows feel even more heartfelt and memorable.
Emily & Jack’s Favorite Wedding Day Memory
For Emily and Jack, the ceremony stood out as the most meaningful part of the day. “Our officiant did such a beautiful job weaving together our story and capturing what makes our relationship special—it felt deeply personal and meaningful,” Emily shared.
They also cherished the quiet, peaceful morning spent getting ready with their closest friends and family. “There was something so grounding about starting the day surrounded by the people who love us most, before the chaos began.”
And of course, the celebration ended with pure joy. “We had the time of our lives dancing the night away with everyone we love.”
One Thing Emily Learned From The Wedding Process
“Start early and stay flexible,” Emily advised. It’s easy to get caught up in trying to make everything perfect, but she quickly realized that focusing too much on the little things can take away from the joy of the process. “In the end, no one remembers the small imperfections—they remember the love, the laughter, and how the day made them feel.”
