The Wedding of Leah + Kendall: The Perfect Beginning

Each week, we shine a spotlight on beautiful weddings across Delaware—celebrating the incredible local vendors who make magic happen and the amazing couples who allow us to share their love stories. And when a celebration truly sweeps us off our feet, we can’t help but shout it from the rooftops! Meet our August Vows That Wow couple: the stunning Leah Silot & Kendall Hendron.

How The Couple Met

“Kendall and I met in high school, even though we grew up just five minutes apart and attended the same elementary, middle, and high schools. We even rode the same bus—but somehow, we didn’t meet until my junior year and his senior year. From the moment we connected, we bonded instantly over our shared love of The Office, and we’ve been inseparable ever since. We spent nearly every day together, chose to work our first jobs side by side at Redner’s, attended the same colleges, and even now as adults, we work at the same company again. Looking back, it’s crazy to think how we’ve grown up side by side. After all these years together, we’re still just as excited to keep building our life and taking on the next set of life’s milestones.” -Leah (the bride)

The Wedding Day

Florals: Twisted Vine

Twisted Vine brought soft romance and garden-fresh charm to this wedding day. Lush arrangements of hydrangeas, roses, and delicate daisies were paired with airy sprigs of fresh greenery. A perfect blend of timeless elegance and whimsical beauty that felt both natural and elevated – just the kind of florals that make every moment picture-perfect.

Leah & Kendall’s Favorite Wedding Day Memory

For Leah, There’s one specific moment that stands out above the rest. “During dinner, we sat together at the sweetheart table, looked around at all our family and friends, and felt this overwhelming sense that everything was perfect. It almost felt surreal—like, how is it going this smoothly? But it was. We got an unseasonably perfect 72-degree day, which we had been hoping for. All the little details we had worked so hard on were perfectly in place. Everything turned out even better than we imagined. That moment of sitting back, soaking it all in, and realizing we were living the wedding we had dreamed of is something I’ll never forget.

One Thing Leah Learned From The Wedding Process

“One thing I learned from planning my wedding is the importance of letting go and trusting the professionals I hired. I realized I couldn’t be in control of every detail, and that placing trust in my vendors allowed them to do what they do best. Not only did this reduce my stress, but it also led to beautiful results. I hired the best team which really allowed me to be in the moment all day long.”

Happily Ever After

Leah and Kendall’s wedding was a true reflection of their journey together—joyful, heartfelt, and filled with love at every turn. From the thoughtful details to the unshakable trust they placed in their vendors, their day was not only beautiful but also effortless. As they step into this next chapter side by side, their celebration reminds us all that the most meaningful weddings are those where love takes center stage.
