Cool sand underfoot. The sound of waves rolling in just beyond the aisle.
Laura and Jacob were married steps from the water at Addy Sea Historic Oceanfront Inn in Bethany Beach, surrounded by their closest family and friends with the ocean fully in view.
The ceremony sat low to the shoreline. White chairs set directly into the sand. A line of florals in soft blue and white tucked close to the ground, echoing the tones of the sky and water.
Jacob waited barefoot in a light sand-colored suit.
Laura met him in a lace overlay and tailored pants, her look kept natural. Hair pulled back into a simple braid.
They exchanged vows beneath an open sky. They ran barefoot through the sand, laughing as the wind caught and lifted their custom kites. Just the two of them, the wind, and a wide stretch of shoreline.
Soft blue linens. Driftwood and coastal touches worked into elegant tablescapes. A cake design echoing the color and movement of the waves. Their sweetheart table set against the dunes.
“The whole weekend was beautiful, and I’ll remember it forever. One of my recently married friends gave me some great advice: he said it was important to take a moment to myself to let it all soak in. Before the ceremony, I spent a few minutes alone on the deck of our room at the inn, appreciating the setting, our friends and family who were celebrating with us, and the journey Laura and I have shared so far. I’m really glad I did.” — Jacob
“The whole day was perfect. But my favorite part was getting to dance all night with my husband!” — Laura
