There’s a certain kind of wedding that doesn’t need to announce itself.

It’s in the restraint. The proportions. The way every element feels considered, even when it’s quiet.

Courtney and Mike’s wedding at Inn at Perry Cabin leans fully into that approach.

Tucked into St. Michaels, one of the Eastern Shore’s most iconic waterfront towns, the setting alone carries a sense of ease and polish. Sailboats drift just beyond the ceremony lawn. The light stays soft and open. It’s a place that naturally does a lot of the work for you, if you let it.

And here, they did.

The ceremony was set along the water, anchored by an oversized white frame positioned to capture a single sailboat resting in the bay beyond. It’s a striking design choice. Minimal in structure, but incredibly intentional in placement. The aisle was lined with petals, guests seated close, the focus pulled forward to that one perfectly composed view.

Florals by J. Starr’s Flower Barn built on that same sense of control and restraint. White, yes, but layered. Calla lilies, garden roses, and soft, airy textures created dimension without adding weight. The arrangements framed each moment without competing for attention.

The reception carried that same clarity under a sailcloth tent on the lawn. Natural wood tones, woven chargers, and soft neutrals introduced warmth and texture. Overhead installations added height and presence, while the overall palette stayed grounded and cohesive.

Even the cake followed suit. A clean white buttercream design with subtle movement in the frosting echoed the rest of the day. Refined, intentional, and quietly confident.

And then there’s Courtney.

Stepping onto the boat with a bouquet of calla lilies, sunglasses on, water stretching out behind her. It’s the kind of image that feels pulled straight from the pages of a magazine. Effortless, striking, and completely at home in this setting.

That’s what defines this wedding.

Not excess. Not trend.

Just a strong point of view, and the confidence to follow it all the way through.
