The Wedding Day

Tess and David’s wedding at the historic Brantwyn Estate was a stunning reflection of Delaware’s rich wedding heritage: a blend of timeless elegance with heartfelt intentionality. Once a private residence of the DuPont family, Brantwyn remains one of Delaware’s most iconic venues, known for its sweeping staircase, manicured gardens, and romantic, old-world charm.

The bride wore a breathtaking Ines Di Santo gown adorned with delicate floral appliqué, complemented by bridesmaids in shades deep greens, olives and chartreuse. These details beautifully echoed the lush garden setting.

What made this celebration unforgettable was how personally and beautifully it told their story. Tess wore her mother’s veil, and her wedding band was crafted from diamonds repurposed from a family heirloom, symbols of legacy and love woven into the day. Under the creative direction of Katina Dawson of A Sweet Affair Events, every detail felt thoughtful and alive with texture: tablescapes accented with grapes, figs and pears, garden-inspired florals that spilled effortlessly across the room, and bold pops of color in the invitation suite that played beautifully against the estate’s classic architecture.

The result was a celebration that felt both timeless and refreshingly modern, and a perfect example of Delaware’s unique blend of history, artistry, and heart. Tess and David’s wedding represents the very best of our market: personal storytelling, intentional design, and a deep appreciation for the beauty found in connection.
