Martha and Phil met in California, but when it came time to plan their wedding, they came back to a place that already held years of memories.
The Delaware beaches had long been part of their summers together, making the coast a natural place to gather family and friends for the next chapter.
A Delaware Beach Wedding
The design reflected the relaxed atmosphere of the Delaware coast.
Natural textures appeared throughout the celebration, from rattan accents and woven details to soft blue linens, candlelight, and white florals. The ceremony took place beneath a flower-covered chuppah overlooking the beach before guests gathered beneath a sailcloth tent for dinner and dancing.
Thoughtful Coastal Details
Some of the most memorable details were also the most personal.
Escort cards were paired with boxes of Fisher’s Popcorn, a familiar stop for generations of Delaware beachgoers. Ice cream from Agape Creamery added another local favorite to the celebration.
A Sailcloth Reception by the Beach
A sailcloth tent created an open-air reception overlooking the Delaware coast. Long farm tables, soft blue linens, woven chairs, candlelight, and garden-inspired florals carried the beach setting into dinner and dancing.
